Awww, look how awesome a little calm, quiet domestic can be. You all are fantastic - but such respites are necessarily brief in the world of the Doctor and Jack.

In other words, the Domesticity challenge is closed now! (Again, sorry for the delay.)

You can find all the entries under the challenge: amnesty tag, or just click here.

New challenge coming up in a minute!

Title: Five Days in Dry Dock, 5/5
Author: [livejournal.com profile] sahiya
Pairing/Rating: NC-17, Jack/Ten
Word Count: 2100 this part; about 13,000 overall
Disclaimer: Not mine! They belong to Rusty and the BBC.
Summary: The TARDIS needs an overhaul. Jack needs a few days to put himself back together, physically and mentally. Even without a mortgage, it borders on domestic, but the Doctor's feet are mysteriously un-itchy about it.
Author's Note: Aaaand I'm in under the wire! This is a sequel to Atonement, which I posted here last month, and was written for the "Domesticity" challenge. Many thanks also to my beta reader, [livejournal.com profile] fuzzyboo03. Please note that I've upped the rating - I got a bit more graphic than is my usual wont. Jack's POV is a bad influence, apparently.

And that's all, folks. Thanks for reading and if you feel so inclined, please drop me a comment!

Don’t do domestic

Author: Lilithangel

Characters: Jack/Nine, Jack/Ten, Jack/Eleven

Rating/Warnings: PG

Challenge: Domesticity

Summary: the Doctor doesn’t do domestic and Jack’s experience of it includes five years trapped in a time loop with a psychopath so it doesn’t make a lot of sense to him. Does what they have count?

A/N: in considering the concept of domestic I decided it was too difficult to get either the Doctor or Jack into a three bedroom semi-detached with a picket fence and a dog. When you spend long enough around someone you start anticipating their thoughts, stop saying thank you and maybe even fuss a bit.

do•mes•tic
1 a: living near or about human habitations b: tame , domesticated (the domestic cat)3: of or relating to the household or the family (domestic chores) (domestic happiness)4: devoted to home duties and pleasure.

Now that we've got all those old WIPs and ideas for previous challenges out of the way, we thought we'd give you a real challenge for the New Year. And what would be harder than this?

We proudly present our first 2009 challenge: the Domesticity Challenge!

Not only difficult to do well (ahem, not that that'll stop me from trying!), can you imagine two characters who'd find that kind of thing harder than Jack and the Doctor? You've got your work cut out for you, writers and artists and vidders! Give our boys something truly unusual to do - a true challenge the likes of which they've likely never faced! :D

We'd also like to put out a suggestion - tomorrow we'll finally get to hear who will be the eleventh Doctor. So why not try and speculate on just how that actor might play the Doctor? Who knows, he (or she!) might find domesticity easier than his (or her) previous incarnations. (Then again, not bloody likely. *g*)

As a gentle reminder, please don't crosspost stories for this challenge elsewhere until the challenge closes about one month from now. And don't forget - leave a comment in THIS post and tell us what you think the next challenge should be!
