Just a quick reminder: Summer/Winter Holidays entries are due tomorrow, on 24 July.

Also, as usual we'll probably need a pinch-hitter or two, so if you can help us out, please comment here. (Just leave your email address, and whether you can pinch-hit for fic or art. Thank you!)

For those of you participating in Summer/Winter Holidays this year, remember, your assignments are due in a few days, on Saturday 27 June!

You have about a day left to submit your entry - all submissions are due on Saturday 5th April. If you have your submission to us while it's still Saturday anywhere in the world, you're on time.

Submission guidelines can be found here.

If you think you're going to need an extension, please send us your unfinished draft and let us know. We'll do our best to help, but if we don't receive either a completed entry or a draft with an extension request on the deadline day we will have to immediately look for a backup to take your place.

I hope you're all looking forward to next week - there are some fantastic things ahead, and we can't wait to share them with everyone! (Many thanks to the lovely people who have already sent in their entries!)

Writers and artists, your entries for the second Doctor/Jack Gift Exchange are due in a week, on Saturday 5th April!

You should have received a reminder email today. Please make sure to reply to that email and let us know if everything's on track with your entry!

To submit by the deadline, your entry needs to reach us by the end of that day. We count it as on time if it's not yet past midnight in any time zone. (Of course, if you wanted to submit your entry earlier, that would be fabulous! Many thanks to the early bird who already has.)

To keep everything running smoothly, please check the submission guidelines and read them carefully before you submit your entry.

If you're in need of a beta, you can find help at the beta volunteers post.

And if you run into any real problems with the deadline, please let us know right away! We'll do our best to help, but if we don't receive either a completed entry or a draft with an extension request on the deadline day we will have to immediately look for a backup to take your place.

Thank you, and good luck with the final stretch!

(Also, the Whump Challenge is still open for the a few days. Get those final entries in, everyone!)

We'd love some more feedback for our tentative 2013 schedule, so if you haven't already, it'd be great if you could pop over and leave us a comment. And vote in the poll, of course. *g*

We'd particularly like to hear suggestions on
  • what kinds of fests you'd like to see on this comm (besides Summer Holidays)

  • what prompts we should use for the "regular" challenges - February's close, so let us know what you'd like to see next month!

Thank you for helping us make [livejournal.com profile] wintercompanion a more active comm again this year! :)

The 2011 Doctor/Jack Bingo Fest is rapidly approaching its end - time to get those final entries in!

You still have until April 30th to write, vid or otherwise create your remaining entries. On May 1st, we'll be posting a masterlist of all entries submitted, and award prizes to everyone who's achieved Bingo. Good luck, everyone!

You can find the full rules for the fest here.

OMG, where did the time go?! Time for those of us who are still writing/creating to get going and finish our entries, and time for those who want to write or create more to pick their prompts - there are only six days left for the 2010 Doctor/Jack Fest!

(I definitely want to get another entry in myself, so yeah, I really need to make up my mind. *g*)

We still have until March 31st to write, vid or otherwise create our entries for the fest, and anyone can claim prompts right up until then.

Here are the general prompts, without spoilers for series 5.

Here are the prompts containing spoilers for the new series.

Keep having fun with the fest! :-)

Prompt submissions for the Doctor/Jack Fest close on Sunday! The more the merrier, clearly, because the world cannot have enough Doctor/Jack....

There are two prompt collection posts - one for general prompts, one for prompts that contain spoilers for the series 5. Anyone can submit prompts, whether you plan to join the fest itself or not.

Here is the spoiler-free prompt collection post - comment there to leave your general prompts.

Here is the spoileriffic prompt collection post - comment there to leave any prompts that contain spoilers for series 5.

You can submit as many prompts as you like. The more, the better!

Prompts can be simple - just a phrase, a word, an item, or a quote - or more complex, like a scenario you'd like to see. Don't use more than 50 words, though - inspire people, don't do their writing for them.

On March 1st, we'll be posting the full list of prompts, again in two posts, one with and one without spoilers for the finale.

Once the prompt posts are up, all you need to do to join is pick a prompt (any prompt) and comment to claim it. And then write/create. No worries, we won't hunt you down and throw you into the nearest black hole if you find you can't complete your fic or artwork or vid - that's just so we can see how many people are interested. :-)

You have until March 31st to write, vid or otherwise create your entry - for more info, see here - and thanks for coming to play!

25 August 2007 @ 06:46 pm
The Ten/Jack fest is drawing to a close - only two more days until the deadline: We only have until August 27th to write, vid or otherwise create our entries. Time for that last-minute rush - let's finish up our entries and get them posted!

And if any of you should feel particularly daring, you can still claim a prompt right until the fest closes:

Here are the general prompts, without spoilers for the Series 3 finale.

Here are the prompts containing spoilers for Utopia, The Sound of Drums, and/or Last of the Time Lords.

It's been less than two weeks since the prompts were posted, and we already have a whopping 20 entries - isn't it fantastic? If you haven't been reading along, you can find them all here at [livejournal.com profile] wintercompanion - just look through our tags if you don't want to scroll through everything. Keep going, people - come and pick your prompts (or more prompts) if you haven't already:

Here are the general prompts, without spoilers for the Series 3 finale.

Here are the prompts containing spoilers for Utopia, The Sound of Drums, and/or Last of the Time Lords.

You still have until August 27th to write, vid or otherwise create your entry, and you can claim prompts right up until then. (Now if only I could get my own entry finished!)

And since it's come up recently - I know some fests prefer it if you don't crosspost until it's over, but that's not true of this one. Do feel free to crosspost your entries elsewhere if you haven't already!
