Thank you all for sharing your knowledge - we've had time to learn a lot of useful (and useless) things, but all good lessons must come to an end, even this: The Infosharing Challenge is closed now.

You can find all the entries under the challenge: infosharing tag, or just click here.

New challenge coming up in a minute!

Title: "On the Origin of Species"
Author: dameruth
Challenge: Infosharing
Characters: Ten/Jack
Series: "Flowers"
Rating: Adult
Spoilers: None, but part of an AU series.
Summary: Jack takes some time out to think about evolution and Time Lords.
Author's Notes: I've spent a lot of time thinking about the alternative Time Lord biology that's been developing in this AU series of mine, and took the current challenge as a chance to write it all up in semi-story format from Jack's POV. The discipline of Cladistic Psychology is entirely my own invention, but I like to think it would have a practical application in the Whoniverse; it makes sense to me, anyway, and I had fun with this little thought excercise. Also, to reward those who work their way through the biological-theory rambling, I've sweetened the end with a little applied biology (i.e. smut). ;)

If February was the month of romance, let March be the month of science!

As [livejournal.com profile] vail_kagami suggested:
We all know that the original idea of Doctor Who was to teach children about history and science in a fun and easy way. Now why not write fanfics in the same spirit. Stories that provide information on something - perhaps not useful, or impressive, but true. Whether it's Owen ranting about details concerning a new epedemic, or the plague in Cardiff, of just the Doctor spilling some random information about the time/place they've landed in.

I really couldn't put it any better than she did - so welcome to the Infosharing Challenge!

The Doctor, of course, always likes to go on about whatever bit of information crosses his mind (whether anyone wants to hear it or not), and think about all the knowledge Jack must have acquired in his long life! (No, not just about that. Or rather, not just about that. :D) How about letting them share their knowledge - with each other or with anyone else they come across? Who knows, they may even be able to teach each other something!

As a gentle reminder, please don't crosspost stories for this challenge elsewhere until the challenge closes about one month from now. And don't forget - leave a comment in THIS post and tell us what you think the next challenge should be!
