What a great way to kick off the new year - there's been a slew of lovely fic this month! Sadly, though, whatever your resolutions for the year might have been, it's time to bring the Resolutions challenge to a close.

We have a *great* year in store - keep your eyes open for more admin posts later this month - but most importantly, February means a brand new challenge, coming up shortly.... I have a good feeling about it!

You can find this month's entries under the challenge: resolutions tag, or just click here.

Happy 2011! Hard to believe we're into the second decade of the new millennium - harder still to believe that this kicks off this comm's fourth full year! So we figured, what better way to kick it off than with an eye to the future - and so we're launching the Resolutions Challenge.

Resolution. Noun. Determination, strong will.

Synonyms: aim, boldness, constancy, courage, dauntlessness, decidedness, decision, declaration, dedication, doggedness, earnestness, energy, firmness, fixed purpose, fortitude, guts, heart, immovability, intent, intention, judgment, mettle, moxie, obstinacy, perseverance, pluck, purpose, purposefulness, purposiveness, relentlessness, resoluteness, resolve, settlement, sincerity, spirit, spunk, staunchness, staying power, steadfastness, stubbornness, tenacity, verdict, willpower.

Antonyms: compliance, indecision, weakness.

Courage. Heart. Obstinacy. MOXIE. What about that doesn't suggest Jack and the Doctor, in a million different ways? Tell us about a time they stood firm, or a time that steadfastness wavered and was kept on track. Tell us about a time they resolved to change, or had resolution thrust upon them. Whatever you do, tell us!

As a gentle reminder, please don't crosspost stories for this challenge elsewhere until the challenge closes about one month from now.

And don't forget - leave a comment in THIS post and tell us what you think the next challenge should be - or other ideas you'd like us to consider! We're looking at this year's calendar, and always interested in hearing suggestions. My resolution this year? To write something, even just a drabble, for every challenge. Fingers crossed! (And thank god for Amnesty Month. :D)
