Five years have come and gone, and here we are in July -- which means it's time to open up the prompts for Summer/Winter Holidays 5, The Anniversary Edition! Fifteen wonderful authors have written fics of 500 words or more to different sets of prompts, and ten artists have put together amazing works. Now it's July, and we're delighted to showcase them, one day at a time, for everyone to see.

This year, in honor of our 5th anniversary -- and the show's 50th! -- and so our prompt list is based on that theme. In some countries, each anniversary has a particular kind of gift associated with it -- and in some places, for certain anniversaries, you can receive a message from some important person in authority.  So this year, our prompt list had 1) an anniversary (1st, 5th, 10th, etc.), 2) a gift (paper, wood, platinum, etc.); 3) an important person (their name or their job title or both); and 4) an event to commemorate.

Every creator was assigned one of the prompts, and we'll be posting their works over the course of the month.  In addition, for the whole month of July, all of these prompts will be open for anyone in the comm to write or create to. As always, they're meant for inspiration - you don't have to include anything explicitly, just use the prompts to get the creativity flowing.

Please, please let our authors and artists know how great their creations are. And while you're applauding their efforts, we hope you'll offer some of your own.
