After all that tech, it's time to come back to what's at the heart of fanfic: Asking "what if?" This month, we're all about what might have been:

AU Challenge!
From the simple questions to the complex, from parallel worlds to alternate timelines to complete AUs: this month, anything goes, except for what really happened.
What if Jack had never stopped travelling with the Doctor? What if he hadn't joined Torchwood? What if the Doctor had gone back for Jack at any point before
Utopia? What if they'd met while the Doctor was under the influence of the Chameleon Arch? What if this or that tiny little thing had just happened differently? What if our heroes had first met under vastly different circumstances – say, while Jack was still an active Time Agent?
Or what if they weren't what they are: Time Lord and Time Agent, immortal, regenerating and reviving? What might they be, and still be recognisably
them? What if they were ordinary humans? Hell, what if they were vampires? Truly, anything goes. Because it's obvious they belong together in any conceivable version of reality! ;-)
Your mission this month: Show us the Doctor and Jack in any version of reality but the one we know from the show. From a "five things" piece to AU versions of episodes to a full-on alternate universe – ask yourself: "What if?"
