Summary - Jack's more special than anyone thought

It had been over five and a half years since all of the remainng Immortals had been forced to once more participate in the Game.

The names of those few remaining Immortals were Methos, Duncan McLeod, Cardinal Giovanni, Zai Jie and Reggie Weller.

Zai Jie was beheaded by the Guardian of the Source after breaking into a radio station to give his comrades the location of The Source.

The Source is the ultimate power, that which gives their kind their immortality.

Reggie Weller was 'slashed' to death by the Guardian of the Source, when they were on the Source's home island.

He did not revive because the closer to the power they get, the weaker they become, even loosing their immortality.

Cardinal Giovanni was beheaded by the Guardian of the Source after running away from the Cannibals and the other Immortals to save his own hide.

Meanwhile Methos distracted the Cannabalistic natives by riding a horse around them so as to give Duncan time to try to save his wife Anna.

Duncan McLeod becomes one with The Source, he is The Source and The Source is him, they are one and the same.

Duncan's unborn child, who is a boy, is 'The One', the 'True Immortal' or that is what they, Anna and Duncan, believe.

Duncan's son Maxwell Teshemka-McLeod was actually The Guide, created to aid The One.

In the end The One was the same as The First, Methos.

He is forever cursed to live eternally, never to be allowed eternal rest.
