Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction and I make no money from it. Full disclaimer under cut.

Summary: The Doctor discovers more than just Jack's missing memories and he's shocked by them. Does he tell Jack and risk his anger or keep it to himself? If he does tell Jack, can their relationship survive it?

Author’s Notes: This is part of my series The Captain and The Time Lord, but can easily be read as a stand alone. If you want to read the rest, just click on my icon. They’re all on my journal. The only knowledge I have of the Eighth Doctor comes from the 1996 movie. This should be considered AU.

All you need to know for this story is:
The Tenth Doctor and Jack have been travelling together as lovers and that they can feel each others feelings through a psychic link called a merger.

Great chapter. I love the premise: getting a glimpse into Jack's relationship with several Doctors. There's a sense that Jack and the Doctor are "Meant to be" which I like, but also the looming angst of the Timewar and Jack's memory erase, which pleases my inner masochist :) can't wait for the next installement! In the meantime, I'll have to go read the rest of the series.

My comment disappeared! Also, because I know what happens next (be jealous, readers!) it's a bit hard just to comment on this part. So: I love how you've plausibly managed to get Eight and Jack in the same story, and how they end up travelling together (as Jabberwok said, meant to be).
Also:
"It is bigger on the inside."
"Oh, did you have to?" groaned the Doctor. "And you were doing so well."

Hehe! Nice work!

Oh! Yes, this is absolutely beautiful! I love how you worked this out, and made it so it was the Eighth Doctor who was the one who erased two years of his life, and the way it was written was really quite brilliant. :D

I too love how they ended up travelling together! That was just so brilliant! :D The way the Eighth Doctor wants to have a relationship with Jack, but because of what would happen if the Time Lords found out, it stops him from doing so, is quite sad. It's obvious the two of them want one another. Maybe Jack can use his devastating charm to win him over. ;)

I'm really looking forward to part 2 of this story. I love it very much, I've saved it to my memories. :D Thanks so much. :D

Awe, you're welcome. :D I really did enjoy the whole story, it's fascinating! :D

Oh, lovely! I can't wait for that. ;D 8/Jack loving, saucy indeed. :D

Actually, it's even funnier, because this morning I actually watched the Doctor Who Movie with Paul McGann as the 8th Doctor! I'd not seen it in a while, and it was quite lovely to see him again. I wished he could have done more episodes as the Doctor, he was brilliant! :D

Oh! Yes, he is absolutely beautiful! I loved him as the Doctor, so sophisticated and so cute all at the same time. I love that movie, his portrayal of the Doctor was just so perfect. And, his interaction with Eric Roberts as the Master, were just so brilliant and thrilling.

When he finally found a good fitting pair of shoes, he was so ecstatic! That was adorable when he and Grace went outside her house for a walk, and he was so happy with the way the shoes felt and fit. :D

Yes, you really did get that part down very well, his voice, his mannerisms, and your description of his TARDIS was spot on! It was brilliant! :D

Can't wait for the second part, hon. :D

Oh this is just great! I love that you're filling in the missing two years and it's because of Eight!! I can't wait for the next chapter.

I loved this first part. Can't wait for the second. I always had a soft spot for fics where Jack meet past Doctors.
