CHALLENGE: Plague!

I had the cold from hell too. Practically everyone at my workplace was sick too. So what better than to inflict the sickness on our favourite characters as well? Because we're evil that way. :D

So there you go: The Plague Challenge!

Think about it: Alien illnesses. Time Lord flu. Or, the most dangerous of all, those seemingly harmless things, children's diseases! The Doctor with measles. Jack with chickenpox. Who's taking care of whom? Can a Time Lord get the common cold? Can Jack get ill, if the illness is non-fatal? What about a real plague? Imagine someone who can't die in the midst of an epidemic.

Endless questions, endless options! As usual, these are just a few ideas to get you started. I'm sure you can come up with something even better! :D

As a gentle reminder, please don't crosspost stories for this challenge to other comms until the challenge closes. (Which, as usual, will be about one month from now.) And don't forget - leave a comment in THIS post and tell us what you think the next challenge should be!

Hurgh. I've currently got my third bout of whatever's going around (been sick more or less continuously since just after Christmas) -- so I guess you could say I've been researching this topic in advance. :P ;)

I have yet to make a suggestion, so I figured I would this time. What about power? Jack and the Doctor have a lot of power, possibly too much. One's an Immortal, one's practically a God. Fic looking at how they deal with their power, or maybe examining the potential for corruption from their power. How long before Jack's immortality goes to his head? What if the Doctor crossed one line and found he couldn't stop? Would either of them be able to stop the other, if it came down to it?

So uh, yeah. Power?

I know this one's wide open, but AU? I mean, for a sci-fi show Doctor Who has very little AU fic written for it...

I have an idea for a challange. I didn't check the earlier posts though, so I'm sorry if this has been suggested before. It's kind of lame as well:
My idea would simply be: Death. Both the Doctor and Jack are more ore less, or in Jack's case very, immortal. So what if one of them dies? How would the other cope? If Jack found a way to finally kill himself for good would he take it? If the Doctor found a way to reverse Jack's immortality, would he offer it? And since there's time travel involved - if one of them knew the other was going to die, how far would they go to prevent it?
