I like the thought about Jack being just SO alive - it makes complete and total sense that the Doctor would find that compelling. and it's interesting, because while Jack flings himself into things, there's a large part he keeps in reserve for those who count. And while the same can be absolutely said of the Doctor, I think they're... different parts?
