Sorry about the brain bleach moment, but I thought it would be funny to have the Doctor regenerate in a really undignified way (err, my mind is a tad twisted), and there's not much less dignified than tripping over a brick because of seeing Jack doing something really disturbing. Hopefully it was all balanced by the brain-cleansing power of showing that Jack isn't going to turn into a giant head in a jar.

As for the Doctor knowing exactly where he last left the handcuffs, that was a tag line for the win. Totally for the win!
