I like the premise. I always felt that Jack was sold-short by the Doctor and the show didn't adequately address why. Just watched the first series of Torchwood, so Jack's UST for the Doctor is pretty fresh. I'd only say that I felt uncomfortable that the Doctor was so completely a victim. Ten's really clever about avoiding and extricating himself from trouble, unless he's come up against a /really/ clever plot. (I mean, the Master artificially aged him.) So, for a moment of concrit, I would have preferred a Doctor with more motivation, or at least who is more actively engaged in what's going on. There's probably a perverse pleasure to be had in hoping that he's foiled in one of his notoriously clever escape plans. Just some thoughts. I think I'll keep reading.
