Where they used to build sonic blasters, there is now a banana grove. Not even sonic screwdrivers last forever, and all tribophysical waveform macro-kinetic extrapolators must come to an end:

We leave behind the lands of legend and mythos - this month, we're dragging the Doctor and Jack straight into the future. This month, it's all about "boys and their toys," to quote one Martha Jones.

Welcome to the Technogeekery Challenge!

It started with sonic blasters and sonic screwdrivers and the importance of bananas. And even all the way at the end of the universe, they still had enough time to bicker about whose method of time travel was cooler.

Let's face it, they may be incredibly attractive, intelligent, daring heroes, but deep down, the Doctor and Jack?

Total technogeeks.

Your mission this month? Show us the Doctor and Jack in full-on geek-out mode. Whether they're competing or problem-solving or just lusting after the latest in 60th century gadgetry, let them bring their inner techo-hounds out to play. With the whole of time and space to explore, there's just so much to play with... (insert leer here).

For inspiration, I can only say this: tribophysical waveform macro-kinetic extrapolator.

Because come on - if that discovery didn't just prove the point? I don't know what can.

We'll close the challenge on July 1 - don't forget, you've got till the end of next weekend to finish up on the Myths challenge. And as a gentle reminder, please don't crosspost stories for this challenge elsewhere until the challenge closes about one month from now. And don't forget - leave a comment in THIS post and tell us what you think the next challenge should be!
